黑龙江三江美术职业学院是经黑龙江省政府批准、教育部备案、隶属于黑龙江省教育厅领导的一所集美术教育、基础教育、幼儿教育、中老年教育与管理、环境艺术工程、数字传媒、影视动画、ＩＴ信息、国际专本硕合作办学为一体的国家普通高等学校，是黑龙江省唯一纳入国家招生计划的高等美术学院，在全国美术类高职学院中排名前三位。

总院地址在黑龙江省佳木斯市大来社区，在北京和哈尔滨分别建有教学实习基地。自1980年创办以来，拥有专家、教授、副教授292人，双师型教师达到87%；全力打造艺术设计、美育教育、IT信息等三个重点专业集群，建设美育、装饰、传媒、动画、lT信息等5个特色专业群，设置22个专业，现有在校大学生5360人。学院创办有六大实体平台，一是“龙美艺术设计集团公司”，定位服务龙江中小微企业，为企业打造一企一品，为美丽乡村建设增光添彩；二是“龙美教育”，定位培养中小学与幼儿美育教师和中老年教育与管理教师；三是“龙美画院”，定位让艺术作品进入平民百姓之家；四是“龙美书院”，定位服务国内与“一带一路”中老年艺术养生爱好者，为中老年人提供吃住学养一体化的学历教育与科学服务，助力中国文化与艺术走向世界开花结果；五是“龙美稚苑”，定位培养国内与“一带一路”2-6岁幼儿，实施“寓教于智、寓教于美、寓教于动、寓教于乐”的个性化教育，让中国美育与语言走向世界生根开花；六是“龙美信息”，定位培养ＩＴ艺术设计师和互联网媒体直播网红。
